Renewable Energy Passion

OK, I know, I am a marketer, and this is set up as a “marketing blog” for me and my business. But I can’t help myself – I am too crazy about renewable energy. I have been for years, and am very excited about what is going on in the industry today. And with my own marketing consultancy, I have the freedom to focus on anything I like. So, I am focusing on renewable energy, and emerging energy technologies. As a result, I will be posting a lot of content on these technologies, as well as on marketing.

I do have some direct experience in this category, as well as some knowledge. Some of the technologies I marketed from Hewlett-Packard were for research and development of technologies such as solar photovoltaic, fuel cells, and biomass. These high-tech test instruments and software were used by developers to test their designs in the lab and in the field. I’ve also had a chance to work as a fund developer and marker with an urban renewal organization, Zion Development. They are dedicated to employing renewable energy principles and technologies in their renovations: super insulation techniques, high-efficiency heating, cooling, appliances and lighting, solar power, geothermal.

In any case, I have a personal passion for renewable energy, due to a combination of things, including my personal passion for technology, innovation and invention; my desire to see our country (and our world) be more responsible about usage of our available resources,  and reducing pollution. It is also due in part to my early relationship with the Solar Energy Research Institute (now called the National Renewable Energy Laboratory – NREL), and more recent acquaintance with the Institute of Energy Efficiency at UC Santa Barbara.

As a result, you will see many posts on that subject here, along with and probably merged with marketing posts and content. I hope you will join in the conversation on these topics as they interest you, or as you react to my opinions and information. Please add your comments!
